BANYUWANGI – Marine Corps Commander (Thank you) Maj. Gen (Mar) Bambang Suswantono visited Banyuwangi, Tuesday (7/8/2018) yesterday. Major General Bambang was welcomed by Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas at the Sabha Swagata Regency Hall, then observe various services at the Public Service Mall.

Major General Bambang expressed his appreciation for the changes made by Banyuwangi in recent years.

“Banyuwangi used to be one of the areas where I trained, like in Muncar, Srono, Violation, and Selogiri. After such a long time, Currently, Banyuwangi has changed a lot. The change is real, extraordinary, including public services. Earlier I went to the Public Service Mall, This is good because residents are helped to access services easily,” said Major General Bambang.

The Banyuwangi Public Service Mall itself has been operating since 2017, and now serving 173 types of documents/permits in one place. This is the first public service mall built by the district government in Indonesia.

Major General Bambang continued, The changes that occurred in Banyuwangi inspired him about the management capabilities of an organization.

“I got a lot of inspiration on how to manage an organization, managing the people who work with us. The leadership aspect in Banyuwangi plays a real role, leadership that is able to move,” said Major General Bambang.

And the impact of good management and leadership, measurable in various development results in Banyuwangi which continue to increase.

On that occasion, Major General Bambang also reminded again of the dangers of radicalism which all levels of society must be aware of. Don't let religion differ, Ethnicity and even the way you dress creates divisions and the seeds of radicalism grow in society.

“The way to do this is to maintain unity and integrity among citizens. Care for each other and be alert to each other,” he said.
