BANYUWANGI – Department of Youth and Sports (Dyspora) Banyuwangi continues to promote entrepreneurship skills and life skills training for Banyuwangi youths.

The target of the youth who will be given this skill reaches 4.340 person, scattered in 24 Dan District 217 villages/kelurahan in Banyuwangi. Plt. Head of Banyuwangi Dispora, Drs. Ahmad Khoirullah, MM says, This entrepreneurship skills training aims to increase awareness in terms of providing skills for the community.

In particular, young people are expected to be able to create productive economic enterprises. In this case, Dispora Banyuwangi provides provision of woven bamboo craft skills, batik craft, dragon fruit juice, and the manufacture of processed food. In Muncar District, This training was held at the Tembokrejo Village Hall and Kedungringin Village Hall.

In this sub-district there are ten villages that received training in total 200 person. Participants are taught how to make woven bamboo crafts, batik craft, dragon fruit juice and processed foods. It says, This training seeks to instill the soul, attitude, and entrepreneurial ethics to students, provide knowledge about entrepreneurship.

Participants also gain skills in the field of goods/services production, encourage and create new entrepreneurs through courses and training. This is supported by the business world and industry, business partners and related agencies/agencies, so as to be able to create new jobs/businesses or access existing job/business opportunities.

This entrepreneurship training is an effort to participate in alleviating poverty through various skills training for community members who do not have permanent jobs so that later they have additional income and can live more independently.,said Khoirullah. (radar)
