BANYUWANGI – Through the Village Fund budget (DD), in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java this year is carrying out a program to renovate uninhabitable houses 1.066 poor citizens.

The house renovation program is the commitment of the Banyuwangi Regency Government and the village government to accelerate poverty reduction and improve the standard of living of village communities.

Head of the Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMD) Banyuwangi through the Head of Village Administration Empowerment, Ahmad Faisol explained, from year to year, the village government consistently allocates the Village Fund budget for the house renovation program.

“The target is clear and the benefits are felt directly by residents who own uninhabitable houses. We will encourage this program to be continued. For this year's budget allocated around Rp 10 Billion,” continued Faisol, Monday (14/8/2017).

Every year, on average each village allocates a budget for repairs 5 until 10 uninhabitable housing units with a budget of Rp 7,5 Million to Rp 15 million per unit.

If calculated from the total 189 villages in Banyuwangi, then more than 1.000 uninhabitable houses that are repaired every year. (timesbanyuwangi.com)
