Banyuwangi Airport through Maintenance and Facility Manager Andry Lesmana revealed, the Ministry of Transportation team has inspected and verified the condition of the apron. With the completion of the verification, soon the number of aircraft that can be parked at Banyuwangi Airport will increase. Previously, Banyuwangi Airport apron can only accommodate three aircraft at the same time. But now, Banyuwangi Airport apron has been able to accommodate nine large-sized aircraft units at the same time.

Andry explained, completion of this apron will soon be followed by verification of the runway (runway). At the moment, runway conditions are almost complete. Workers completed casting the second layer of the runway this week. targeted, at the end of September 2018 this, Banyuwangi Airport runway is complete. Until the first week of October 2018, the runway can be verified.

"The target is to finish soon, apron was also immediately verified," he said.

As for international flights, Andry admitted, Banyuwangi Airport will do it in a short time. sadly, he could not say unequivocally, when will the international flight date start.

He just said, after the technical process is fulfilled, then international flights can be done. The next fulfillment for international flights is administration and custom needs (customs), immigration (immigration), and quarantine (quarantine) alias CIQ.

"That (international flight) we can't answer yet. There will be CIQ fulfillment first," he concluded.
