BANYUWANGI – After going through the trial and error stage, the Smart Village program initiated by the Banyuwangi Regency Government was officially launched yesterday (31/5). The launching of the program aimed at bringing public services closer was carried out by the Minister of Communication and Informatics (Minister of Communication and Information) Rudiantara at the Kalibendo Plantation Field, Glagah District.

Menkominfo Rudiantara also had the opportunity to directly check public services in one of the villages 70 villages that are pilot projects for the Smart Village program, namely in Kampunganyar Village, Glagah District.

Result, The Minister of Communication and Informatics said he was amazed by the breakthrough of the Banyuwangi Regency Government and hoped that similar programs could be replicated in other villages throughout Indonesia. Menkominfo Rudiantara said, the Smart Village program initiated by the Banyuwangi Regency Government is in line with President Joko Widodo's policy regarding village-based national development.

Therefore, the people of Banyuwangi should be proud that this district at the eastern tip of Java Island has 70 Smart Kampung pilot village. "So be proud of Banyuwangi 70 Smart Village pilot project village. Confirmed after field inspection, Menkominfo Rudiantara said, what is implemented in Banyuwangi is above the national average. Because of that, he asked for the Banyuwangi-style Smart Village to be documented and a model made, so that it can be replicated in other villages in the country.
