“We are indeed intensively giving advice to car and motorcycle accessory shops that sell strobe lights and sirens. This is an effort to reduce the number of traffic accidents caused by the use of strobe lights and sirens. Especially during the Christmas and New Year holidays,” he said.
Not only warning the installation of strobe lights and sirens. His party is also aggressively socializing to workshop owners, not to serve the installation of brong exhaust and non-standard vehicle parts.
“Please, if there are customers who want to install spare parts that do not comply with standards, they are reminded and not served. Because it can interfere with comfort and safety while driving,” Ris Andrian said.
If on the highway still found motorists who commit violations, said Ris, officers immediately took action. For example, a rider who rides a motorbike does not meet the manufacturer's standards. Besides that, for example a driver installing a strobe light and siren will be ticketed.
“We also order members to take strict action against motorized vehicle drivers who are caught installing strobe lights or sirens on their vehicles,” clear.
