Police Catch Perpetrators of 'Illegal Logging’ in Banyuwangi

BANYUWANGI – Allegedly the result of illegal logging, 82 teak wood log units with sizes 2 meters secured by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Siliragung Police in the Perhutani RPH Karangharjo area, Sumber Manggis Hamlet, Barurejo Village, Siliragung District, Banyuwangi Regency.

Siliragung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Bripka Eko Siswanto said, one person named Asun Bin Sariman (53) caught. However, six other people managed to escape.

“The perpetrator is suspected of violating Article 12 (1) letter d, e, k, j, h and chapter 83 (1) letter A, b, c UU RI no 18 year 2013 on preventing and eradicating forest destruction,” strictly.
