BANYUWANGI – Ketapang Harbor is still the focus of security forces in securing the Eid homecoming period this year. The seriousness of securing the entrance to Bali Island can be seen with the installation 28 surveillance camera (CCTV) in a number of places in the port area.

Budi added, The existence of surveillance cameras is intended to assist the duties and supervision carried out by officers in the field. He hopes that all parties involved in Operation Ramadania Semeru 2016 at Ketapang Harbor maintain behavior and carry out duties.
On the other hand, to support the implementation and security of this year's homecoming, Banyuwangi Police and other agencies deployed troops at Ketapang Harbor. Codenamed Operation Ramadania Semeru 2016 one goal to be achieved, namely providing comfort and security for the community during Eid al-Fitr.

"Totally there is 1.000 joint personnel who will take part in this activity. They will be placed at various predetermined points,said Budi. Hundreds of personnel will be stationed in 20 posts to be established at a number of points in Banyuwangi.
There are three types of posts to be built, namely integrated post, security, and service. The integrated post will be placed at ASDP Ketapang Port. Security posts will be placed at a number of points, from Wongsorejo to Kalibaru.
A total of nine security posts were built. The rest are service posts. The post will be built near community activity centers, such as tourist locations and other crowds. The post is to directly monitor traffic flow during Eid.
To provide maximum security and comfort to the community, The police will place special personnel at points deemed prone to crime. This includes placing police personnel on the entire fleet of ships serving the Java-Bali route.
